My Experience
My journey in psychology has taken me through many landscapes. It began in hospital settings, supporting patients in palliative care and walking alongside individuals and families facing life-threatening conditions. These moments, often raw and intimate, taught me the profound value of interdisciplinary collaboration and sparked a lasting curiosity about the biological and neurological roots of psychological health.
From there, I worked closely with young people navigating neurodiversity, particularly those with ASD and ADHD. This chapter deepened my belief in a systemic, holistic approach to therapy.
Following this, I broadened my experience across psychiatric settings, clinics, non-profit organisations, and community-based services. Each setting offered new perspectives on human suffering, resilience, and the importance of context, humility, and adaptability in therapeutic work.
One of the most formative chapters in my career was working as a flying psychologist, providing support to individuals in rural and remote communities across Australia. This experience was both humbling and enriching, reminding me that therapy is as much about creativity, presence, and adaptability as it is about technique.
In my private practice today, I support teenagers and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, life transitions, grief, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I work collaboratively and relationally, with respect for the depth and complexity of each person’s story. My approach is integrative, blending psychodynamic, cognitive, and dialectical frameworks with insights from neuroscience.
I am also proud to be a member of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society, where I continue to explore the fascinating interplay of mind-brain, a perspective that threads through everything I do as a clinician.
My journey
In case you’re wondering: my name is pronounced
“Tie - ees”.
But honestly, I actually love hearing
the different ways people say it; it feels like
a little personal touch, always memorable!

I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and now call Sydney home. Along the way, I’ve learned that life is as much about curiosity and wonder as it is about resilience.
As a teenager, I played volleyball professionally. The discipline, teamwork, and determination that came with it still shape how I move through life. More than that, it sparked a lifelong fascination with the connection between body and mind, and how our inner world is reflected in what we do and how we relate.
I feel most myself in nature, among mountains, while climbing, or swimming. Recently, I’ve taken up photography as a hobby, capturing small details and fleeting moments, an exercise in slowing down. Writing and drawing continue to be quiet companions for reflection, helping me untangle thoughts and make sense of the world.
I approach life with curiosity, care, and humour, and these are the ways I show up for both the world and the people in it.
The ability to ask beautiful questions, often in very un-beautiful moments, is one of the great disciplines of a human life. And a beautiful question starts to shape your identity as much by asking it as it does by having it answered.
